Raipur munaadi: Bird flu has been confirmed from a chicken sample sent for testing from Balod district. After which the administration has issued a high alert across Chhattisgarh. This is the first case of bird flu in Chhattisgarh, which has been found in Balod district.
5 samples of GS poultry farm at Gidhali in Balod were sent to National Institute of High Security Animal Diseases, Bhopal for investigation on January 11. Where all samples have been positive in the investigation. Sample H5N avian influenza virus has been found. A high alert has been declared to all districts of the state.
As per the direction of the Government of India, the rapid response team is taking action by declaring a radius of one kilometer from the infected farm as an infected area. The movement of chickens and birds in the infected area has been banned. At the same time, instructions have also been issued to limit the movement of human beings and vehicles.
