Along with the first aid for women, this clinic would have the additional facilities of breast cancer screening by female doctors, self breast examination of beneficiaries, regular and special screening of pregnant women etc.
This clinic will be set up in the slum area on a predetermined day near Anganbadi in the cities, in collaboration with Women and Child Development Department. In addition, benefits of various welfare projects of Women and Child Development Department for pregnant women, children etc. will also be provided.
There is no separate screening room for women in general clinics and female counselors for women are also not available. Because of which women hesitate to ask for information about family planning tools, copper-T insertion, availability of emergency pills, birth control pills, weekly contraceptive pill, contraceptive injection, family planning counseling, STD counseling etc. Availability of dedicated female staff in this special mobile clinic for women and free of cost consultation would help the women beneficiaries to avail the information and the treatment comfortably.
