Chhattisgarh government on Monday ordered to begin an online class from November 1 for academic session 2020-21 in all universities and colleges of the state.
The order in this regard has been issued to the all registrars of universities and colleges of the state to begin online class from November 1.
As per the order, instructions were issued to begin admission in the first year in under-graduate courses from August 1 and to start online teaching in a phased manner from the month of September but the process of admission could not be completed due lockdown in various districts of the state to prevent Coronavirus.
In view of the present circumstances, the last date for admission has been extended to 29 October, 2020 by the state government, the order added.
Examinations of all subjects of the last academic session have been completed in all the universities and colleges and the examination results have also started to be declared, the order said.
Following the directives of University Grants Commission (UGC) to start teaching work by UGC from November 1, the state government issued order to begin online classes in the state from November 1, the order further said.
