Chhattisgarh Police on Sunday arrested three persons for operating IPL betting racket from the house at Kharsia town in Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh district.
Raigarh Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh said that the arrested accused have been identified as Alok Agrawal, Satish Goyal and Ajay Kumar Agrawal, all residents of Kharsia in the district.
Police seized three mobile phones, a laptop, Rs 95,250 in cash and betting records detailing transactions of Rs 45 lakh from them, Singh said.
They had bet on the IPL match played between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians on Saturday night from the house under the Kharsia police station limits in Raigarh, the senior police officer added.
Police have arrested 20 persons so far for operating IPL betting rackets in Raigarh district.
