Chhattisgarh police on Thursday arrested three persons at state capital city, in connection with burglary of Rs 9.82 lakh at Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL) shop in Raipur earlier in August this year. Also, two more accused involved in burglary are still in police custody in different cases to be arrested. While one accused has committed suicide few days ago.
The arrested accused have been identified as Sadabrij Pardhi (45), Dev Prasad Pardhi alias Deva (32) and Vinod Dahariya (23), all residents of Raipur district, Raipur Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar Yadav said.
While Vijay Manhare (30) and Dhaniram Dhritlahre (26) are in custody of Mahasamund police. Mahare is in custody for burglary in a wine shop and Dhritlahre is in custody on charges of setting ablaze his wife. While accused Agrabhushan alias Golu (30) few days ago committed suicide, the SSP said.
In August this year, the complainant and the supervisor of IMFL shop Vishwanath Kosle reported that five to six unidentified thieves had broken into the foreign liquor.
The locker and hard disk of the CCTV Camera system were pilfered and cash amounting to Rs 9. 82 lakh was also stolen.
On the complaint, Arang Police station limits of Raipur registered a case under sections 459, 380 and 395 of Indian Penal Code and started a probe.
During the course of investigation, police learned about one of the accused Vinod Dahariya. Police rounded him up and put through interrogation, in which he confessed to the crime.
He also named the mastermind Vijay Manhare and other accused as his partners in the crime.
Police recovered Rs 1.10 lakh stolen cash and goods purchased from stolen money including three new bikes, a LED TV, two mobile phones, a home theatre, a mixer grinder and an air cooler from them.
Police also seized two bikes used in crime and locker from their possession.
